The Greater Longview United Way has a vision...

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community by:

  • Assessing current and emerging needs
  • Raising funds
  • Allocating resources
  • Fostering volunteerism and leadership
  • Encouraging collaborative efforts.

As the Community Chest in the 1940s, then as the United Fund, and since 1982 as the Greater Longview United Way, we have been assisting local nonprofit health and human service organizations to meet the needs of the residents of Longview and Gregg County, Texas.

We bring people and resources together:

  • Our annual fundraising campaign is designed to offer every person living and/or working in the Greater Longview area an opportunity to give through the United Way
  • The INFOline of Gregg County is the county's first comprehensive Information and Referral database, including more than 200 agencies and 400 programs
  • We work continually with other entities to identify unmet needs and the collaborations that can address those needs.
