About the GLUW

Our Purpose: To secure and disburse funds to health and human services agencies, and to promote cooperation between citizens and member agencies within the Greater Longview, Texas, area. Since 1952, the Greater Longview United Way, Inc., has raised local funds annually, through workplace and individual giving, to disburse to health and human services organizations serving the Greater Longview area. As the result of strategic planning conducted by the Board of Directors in 2001, the GLUW has developed the following four goals: To broaden its donor base To become a year-round organization To fine-tune its mission To diversify its leadership
